RUN TO THE FUTURE’s Chengdu store is more than just a retail space—it’s an experience that blends nostalgic aesthetics with a futuristic vision. Situated in the lively Chengdu COSMO shopping center, the gender-neutral fashion brand brings its signature style to a carefully designed interior that transports visitors through time.
The store’s design, curated by One Fine Day Studio & Partners, embraces an innovative “Run to the 1980s” theme. Minimalist office-style decor meets unexpected elements that spark curiosity. One of the most striking features is “Escape Detector,” an art installation by Guangzhou-based British artist Matt Hope. This futuristic display, complete with a spiked metal probe and a glowing green LED screen, challenges perceptions of time and space.
Inside, shoppers will find more than just clothing. Four uniquely themed fitting rooms—including a bedroom, a photo studio, a shower, and a Mahjong playroom—add an interactive element to the shopping experience. Toward the back, a cozy lounge provides space for events, social gatherings, and brand activations, reinforcing the brand’s philosophy of blending fashion with culture. Throughout the store, vintage props like typewriters, ceramic sinks, and classic houndstooth fabrics create a sense of nostalgia while complementing the modern fashion offerings on display.
RUN TO THE FUTURE’s Chengdu location isn’t just a store—it’s a destination that invites visitors to explore, engage, and immerse themselves in a unique fusion of past and future. By combining bold design with a forward-thinking retail concept, the brand continues to push boundaries in the fashion world.
